Clowne Branch Line

News just received from DCC:

the development of the Clowne Branch Line as a multi user Greenway shall commence from the week commencing 12th November. It is expected that the works shall begin with a programme of tree removal from the track bed, the cutting walls and the tops of the cuttings. This is to promote the grassland species for habitat development and to promote safety along the route.

Inevitably, it is anticipated that access along the route will be disrupted but the contractor is mindful to keep the path open for as much of the time and length as possible.

There will be a Public Information Event at the Clowne Community Centre on Thursday 15th November between 12.30 and 6.30pm for members of the public to drop in to find out what is happening and what to expect.
