Hasland on CycleStreets

Used the route finder on cyclestreets for the first time today. Wanted a quiet route through Hasland to Grassmoor via Storforth Lane. The route finder took me onto the cyclepath through the new housing on Storforth Lane, but for some reason it tried to take me on a route through a fence.

I assume the dotted line means an 'intended' route that doesn't actually exist, but that doesnt stop the route finder trying to use that route. There doesn't appear to be a way of joining the bottom end of the cyclepath from North Terrace without going right to the end and pushing along the footpath which joins to Oadby Drive.

Hasland on CycleStreets

Thanks for reporting the problem.  CycleStreets is a project set up by Cambridge Cycle Campaign and local campaign groups can get their own customised pages, but we don't actually maintain the site ourselves.

I think we'll have to get in touch with them and see what can be done - obviously it's no good if it sends you down routes that don't exist yet!

This issue has been raised

Hi folks,

I've raised this issue with CycleStreets to comment on - I agree that either it needs to be sorted or I need to alter the mapping...  I'll let you know the response.
