Membership via PaPal?

 Hey folks,

Don't suppose you have considered accepting PayPal as a means of taking membership payments?

I'm thinking of joining up, but these days its just hassle to have to print out membership forms, write cheques and send via snail mail. I don't even have a cheque book - they get destroyed as soon as the bank sends them to me.

Even if it means charging an extra £1 or something to cover PayPal expenses.

Just a thought, which might encourage more peeps to join. :)

Good idea

I'd certainly find this easier as well, and I'm sure that there'd be a lot more unsolicited interest from the web.

There is a special service that Paypal offer for donations:

https://www.paypal.com/uk/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=p/xcl/rec/donate-intro-outside

Charges are 20p + 3.4% of the transaction value (i.e. 54p in £10), and monies would be delivered straight to the campaign bank account.  However, we could make online membership 50p or £1 dearer to cover that...

Failing any immediate action we have a Campaign stall at the Winding Wheel on Friday 12th March (only during working hours though) and a stall at May Day in New Square should you wish to part with hard cash.
