European Car Free Day September 22nd

It's Car Free Day next Tuesday, and, though Chesterfield will probably not quite manage to go totally car free for the day, we thought we'd do a special bike ride to celebrate!

Car Free bike ride
Tuesday 22nd September
depart Town Hall at 6pm

We'll meet outside the Town Hall, then do a short circuit round the town, taking in the Donut roundabout, Lordsmill roundabout, Markham Road, and West Bars, then back past the Town Hall to finish up at the Crispin pub on Ashgate Road by about 6:45pm probably. The Crispin are expecting us for drinks, so let's not disappoint them.

Remember that by the time you leave the pub it may well be getting dark, so be sure you've got lights on your bike. You might also want to bring horns, bells, colourful clothes, witty slogans etc for the main part of the ride.

All welcome for the ride or the pub or both. This will be my (Jessie's) last campaign ride before disappearing to do a two year organic horticulture apprenticeship, so it would be great to see a good turn out!

Any questions, call Jessie on 01246 234899 or email jessiemarcham@pasturesgreen.me.uk
