I’m planning a C2C trip for the first weekend of July, travelling up on Friday 4th (cost £34), riding from Whitehaven to Melmerby (home of the Village Bakery!) on Saturday which is about 70-75 pretty strenuous miles. On Sunday we travel to Sunderland then head up the coast to Tynemouth and come back in to Newcastle . Return train cost £11. If the B&Bs cost £25 each the total for travel & accommodation is £95.

How are you managing to get
How are you managing to get there for £34? Sounds like a bargain, struggled for travel arrangements last year when we did the C2C camping in 5 days.
Where are you staying on the Friday night? We are going for a 24 hour crossing this summer and are looking for some nice accommodation near the start in Whitehaven to set off from.
Wish I could be with you but someone needs to teach my class :-)
