trailers

can anyone recommend a lightweight trailer ? - it's for luggage, not children

Trailers

We have two trailers,

Bykaboose, made in the USA, lightweight fabric trailer with tubular metal frame, had ours for 10 years or more, very useful for shopping, takes about 4 or 5 carrier bags. Problem is their website has disappeared although various dealers seem to be still advertising them, cost was about £130 last time I saw one. they also made a smaller version called a Gecko (i think).

Radical Cyclone, made in Netherlands. We use this one when touring. It is basically a large bag with a metal frame at the bottom, wheels and tow bar are easily detached making it very easy to use with trains etc. Easily carried in and out of hotels, YHA's. Cost is high at about £250 but we feel it is worth it for the versatility. Available through various dealers in UK.

Both these trailers attach to a hitch which fits on the rear axle.

Have you considered using a Halfords child trailer? The single child version was only £69 when I last looked.

You are welcome to a demonstration of either of our trailers, we live in Ashgate.
